Last Updated: August 18, 2026
The Philippine Society of Animal Reproduction (PhilSAR) respects the intellectual property, privacy, and personal rights of photographers, researchers, speakers, members, institutions, partner organizations, and other creators whose photographs and visual materials may appear on this website.
This Image Credits page explains the sources, attribution, use, and digital or artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted processing of images displayed on the official PhilSAR website.
1. PhilSAR-Owned and Official Images
Unless otherwise indicated, photographs and visual materials depicting PhilSAR activities, scientific meetings, conferences, workshops, training programs, field activities, and organizational events may have been photographed, created, commissioned, submitted, or otherwise made available to PhilSAR by its officers, members, committees, participants, collaborating institutions, or authorized representatives.
Where appropriate and reasonably practicable, PhilSAR may provide attribution to the photographer, creator, institution, organization, or other rights holder.
2. Speaker, Officer, Member, and Featured Individual Photographs
Photographs of speakers, officers, committee members, researchers, guests, and other individuals featured on the PhilSAR website may come from various sources, including:
Photographs provided directly to PhilSAR;
Institutional or professional profiles;
Conference and event materials;
Official organizational websites;
Publicly accessible professional or social media pages; and
Other publicly available sources.
These photographs are used in connection with PhilSAR's scientific, educational, professional, organizational, and event-related activities and are intended primarily to identify and introduce individuals participating in or associated with these activities.
The public availability of an image does not necessarily mean that the image is free from copyright or other rights. PhilSAR therefore does not claim ownership of original third-party photographs merely because they are publicly accessible.
Copyright and other applicable rights in original photographs remain with their respective photographers, creators, individuals, institutions, organizations, or other rights holders.
3. Digital and AI-Assisted Enhancement of Photographs
To maintain a consistent, professional, and visually coherent presentation throughout the PhilSAR website, some photographs may be digitally edited or processed using conventional image-editing software and/or artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted technologies.
Such processing may include:
Cropping, resizing, and reframing;
Resolution enhancement and sharpening;
Lighting, exposure, and color correction;
Noise reduction and image restoration;
Background removal, replacement, or cleanup;
Composition and alignment adjustments;
Removal of minor distracting elements;
Adjustment of photographs to conform with website layouts and design standards; and
Other reasonable visual modifications intended to improve presentation and consistency.
In some instances, AI-assisted technologies may generate, reconstruct, or modify portions of an image to produce a version suitable for the visual design and aesthetics of the PhilSAR website.
Such AI-assisted or digitally modified versions are intended as website presentation images and should not necessarily be regarded as unaltered original documentary photographs.
PhilSAR endeavors to preserve the recognizable identity of individuals depicted and does not intend such modifications to misrepresent their identity, qualifications, professional affiliations, accomplishments, statements, or participation in PhilSAR activities.
4. AI-Generated Images and Illustrations
Certain banners, backgrounds, illustrations, decorative elements, conceptual images, composites, promotional graphics, and other visual materials appearing on the PhilSAR website may be created wholly or partly using generative artificial intelligence.
These materials are generally intended for illustrative, educational, design, or promotional purposes.Unless specifically identified otherwise, AI-generated visual materials should not be interpreted as photographic documentation of an actual person, animal, location, facility, scientific procedure, research activity, or event.
PhilSAR may identify substantially AI-generated content where appropriate, particularly when disclosure is necessary to avoid confusion regarding the nature or authenticity of the image.
5. Scientific Images and Research Integrity
PhilSAR is committed to maintaining scientific integrity and responsible scientific communication.
AI-generated or substantially altered imagery will not knowingly be represented as authentic photographic evidence of:
Scientific or experimental results;
Research observations or findings;
Laboratory results;
Diagnostic or veterinary findings;
Microscopic or imaging results;
Experimental animals or treatments; or
Other scientific data or evidence,
when the image does not genuinely represent the underlying scientific material.
Images presented as scientific evidence or research documentation should be handled in accordance with applicable research, publication, ethical, institutional, and scientific standards.
6. Institutional, Partner, and Third-Party Materials
Logos, photographs, graphics, illustrations, and other visual materials belonging to universities, government agencies, research institutions, professional societies, scientific organizations, sponsors, partners, and collaborating institutions remain the intellectual property of their respective owners.
Their inclusion on the PhilSAR website does not constitute a transfer of ownership to PhilSAR or imply endorsement beyond the particular collaboration, activity, or context in which they are displayed.
Certain images may also originate from third-party sources or services and may be subject to separate copyright, licensing, attribution, or usage requirements.
7. Image Attribution
Because the PhilSAR website contains numerous photographs and visual materials obtained, submitted, created, or adapted through different sources, individual credits may not always be displayed directly alongside every image.
The absence of an individual image credit does not constitute a claim of ownership by PhilSAR and does not waive the rights of the original photographer, creator, institution, or other rights holder.
Where attribution is required, known, or reasonably practicable, PhilSAR endeavors to provide appropriate acknowledgment.
Depending on the circumstances, image credits may include descriptions such as:
Photo courtesy of the respective speaker or institution.
Original photograph courtesy of the respective owner; digitally enhanced for website presentation.
AI-assisted enhancement for website presentation.
Original PhilSAR photograph; digitally enhanced for clarity and presentation.
AI-generated illustration for visual and promotional purposes.
AI-assisted composite image; for illustrative purposes only.
8. Copyright and Reuse
Unless expressly stated otherwise, users should not assume that photographs or visual materials displayed on the PhilSAR website are free to copy, reproduce, modify, republish, distribute, or use for commercial purposes.
Anyone wishing to reproduce or reuse an image should obtain appropriate permission from PhilSAR and/or the applicable photographer, creator, institution, organization, or copyright holder.
Permission to use one image does not constitute permission to use other photographs, graphics, logos, or materials appearing on the website.
9. Corrections, Attribution, Replacement, and Removal Requests
PhilSAR makes reasonable efforts to respect the intellectual property and personal rights associated with photographs and other visual materials displayed on its website.
If you are a photographer, creator, copyright holder, person depicted in an image, institution, organization, or authorized representative and believe that an image appearing on the PhilSAR website:
